There is no changing the fact that people have opinions and that sometimes those opinions are going to put them into conflict with others. By clarifying the expectations regarding how everyone is to treat coworkers, customers and others who come from or embrace different cultures, lifestyles, and beliefs, businesses can create a healthy and productive work environment.
Most employers find that, with appropriate sensitivity training in the workplace, having a diverse work force actually benefits their company or organization. Building the kind of culture of respect where these benefits can be realized doesn’t happen by accident, however.
An important first step is to develop a cultural diversity training program within your organization. The goals of this program should include:
Identifying areas to improve. Many employers are shocked to discover that harassment is even occurring within their workforce. However, harassment occurs on some level in most workplaces, often because no standards have been set to prevent it or because employers are unaware of how hurtful (and often illegal) their actions are.
Teaching empathy. People tend to put aside their differences more readily when they realize that, beneath it all, we are all very much alike. For all of our differences, we have more in common than most people realize. By learning to put themselves in the other person’s shoes, workers develop understanding. Ultimately, this leads to better harmony in the workplace and often more production.

Since sports never end during a year no matter where you reside, I have an idea and exercise for everyone to follow. The sport could any sport. Stick-and-ball, could be team, could be individual sports. But I think all of you have seen places and “fantasy” games for everyone and every sport. “Pick your team.”
Who would you select for your “Dream Team?”
But why not try something else. Why not try and pick the same Dream Team for a business application? Your business consumes over one-third of your awake life.
Why not pick your dream management team?
I don’t care if you are an admin, a network engineer, a manager, an executive or a factory worker. Pick the people you’ve worked with that you admired for leadership, honesty, forth-rightness, business savvy and slot them into a hypothetical company structure.
Design the imaginary slots for your imaginary company and pencil these folks in.
The next piece may also be interesting. Ask and answer to yourself “why did you select this person and place them into this role?”
Get some detail behind the answer, such as, “she was so fair and understanding on every HR issue ever presented.” And, “Her knowledge and problem solving skills were just so good.” Or, “she listened to every side of every discussion and made great judgments.”
Something has to set aside this individual from others. Again, it’s not important to know the industry, but okay if you do. Try and fill in positions like president, vice president-manufacturing or sales or???, vice president of human resources, vice president of technology and so on.
Don’t get hung up on titles; Rather pick the person you feel made the best company president you knew/worked with/respected and write down the name. Do the same for each title and if you need to add titles, please just do it.
In the olden days, many cars were designed with luggage racks on the top to make it easy to carry bags or any other cargo that you may want when traveling. The trend has however changed slightly over the years with many manufacturers of cars adopting new styles with racks on the tops of cars. This has occasioned the introduction of car roof bags and cargo boxes.
As compared to the boxes that are also common in some cases, the bags are more comfortable to work with because you can easily take them down and keep them whenever you do not need to use them. They are always strapped to the existing luggage racks of the car or in some cases where the vehicle has no luggage rack; you can use straps that come with the bags and will attach through the cars door jams.
A major problem that any car owner may experience when in need of a luggage carrier is the inability of the car to load any bags due to lack of cargo space inside the vehicle. In many cases, when the luggage is tied to the roof, there is a likely chance that it may slip from side to side in the course of the journey. This however can be easily prevented by simply making use of additional accessories that come with the bags such as the protective mats and cargo netting.
The cost is often a major factor in many decisions involving the purchase of anything. The same is a factor to be considered in this respect. In comparison to the hard cargo boxes, the bags tend to be relatively cheaper and one can have a variety to choose from depending on their preferences and the amount of luggage they intend to carry.
Flexibility is a good thing since the cars are made in various shapes and designs. It is a good thing that you can easily choose from the designs for vehicles with rack frames or for those without. It is therefore impossible to have any problem looking for one since you can get versions that match whatever type of car you have. The boxes on the other hand most likely will not be useful on cars without existing luggage racks.
